GENERIC A CHAIR, 5814 – KARTELL Generic A Kartell is a chair designed by Philippe Starck and introduced at the Salone del Mobile 2017. Generic is the name of a chair family characterized by essential features, born from the designer’s intention to identify “generic” archetypes for collective spaces: a stylistic return to the true essence of functionality as a design foundation. The Generic A chair (Administration) is intended for office environments, while the Generic C chair (Café) is designed for entertainment venues such as bars, restaurants, and public spaces. With the Generic Kartell collection, Philippe Starck expresses his concept of returning to the true essence of objects, emphasizing their function.
