CLESSIDRA HOUR GLASS, 420.06 – VENINI The hourglass is a hand-blown glass design object that combines the aesthetic beauty of Murano glass with the functionality of a time measurement device. The Venini hourglass is available in various colors and sizes, and has been designed by important designers such as Tomaso Buzzi, Fulvio Bianconi, and Tapio Wirkkala. The hourglass is composed of two hand-blown glass elements, joined by a slender neck of glass, inside of which sand flows to indicate the measure of time. The Venini hourglass is an example of the production of functional and elegant design objects that characterizes the Murano-based company. Venini Clessidre by Fulvio Bianconi Handmade and blown glass. The Incalmo technique it is employed in the thinner part of the object and it underlines the difficult hand-manufacturing.
